People are talking about the HCG diet – a lot. Actors, models, and successful entrepreneurs can't seem to say enough good things about this diet or how it has been able to change their lives.
But let's be honest, most of us expect these people to jump on board with any new diet craze.
After all, they have the things that most of us don't have.
They have the time, the money, and the doctors to make sure that any diet they want to try is going to give them great results.
But the truth is that celebrities aren't the only ones talking about this diet.
Everyone from housewives to successful CEO's seem to have something to say about the HCG way of life.
Everyday people, people just like you and me, are swearing that this diet has helped them to lose weight, gain energy, and find their ideal bodies in record time.
With so many people talking about the HCG diet, you are probably asking yourself, "What is the HCG diet and what can it do for me?"
Simply put, the term HCG stands for "Human Chorionic Gonadotrphin", and it can be found in the placenta.
What a person takes when they are on the HCG diet is not the same hormones found in the placenta, but it is very similar.
You can either get this in the form of an injection or a liquid, but most people opt to have the injection which seems to have faster results.
Initially, you will go to your doctor and you will get some blood work done, this will tell the doctor how much of the injection you should get and how long you will need the injections for.
Some people only take the injection for 23 days, others take the injection for a little over 40 days.
Sometimes you are able to take the injections yourself at home, but you still need to follow your doctor's instructions to the letter as it is possible to build up an immunity to the HCG injections if you aren't careful.
If your doctor advises you so skip the injection at certain times or certain days, you must listen to his advice.
As far as the foods that you should be eating, it is really fairly simple and straightforward.
As with most diets, you will be looking to eat all natural and organic foods whenever possible.
The diet is broken down into four phases, and each phase has different rules for you to follow.
For instance, phase one includes two days of eating as much as you possibly can.
But then on day 3 you will start phase two which requires that you drop your food intake down to 500 calories a day.
The thought of eating yourself silly one day and then cutting back drastically the next might seem a little silly at first, but it is absolutely necessary if you want the HCG diet to work for you.
Phase three and four deal with maintenance and permanent life changes, but many people find these phases much easier than the first and second phase.
So in a nutshell, what is the HCG diet?
It is a diet that has the potential to change your life.
But unlike so many diets that are out there, this diet will not only change your life it will also allow you to keep your weight off. How many diets can say that?
