Top Five Reasons A Make Up Attempt Will Not Work

Most of us have gone through at least one difficult break up in our lifetime. You know the kind I mean, it really does not matter if you were the one that did the breaking up or you feel that you got dumped; when a relationship comes to an end the aftermath can be overwhelming.

So many of us may decide that we do not want the relationship to end at all, regardless of how things are going.

Some of us will stay in a difficult, unhappy or even an abusive relationship in order to avoid the unknown.

There are other relationships that seem to end when they should have lasted forever.

This type of break up is usually the most difficult to deal with.

One or both people know that the relationship could have worked out but due to some little misunderstanding or turn of events it seems that everything fell apart. These relationships can be saved!

But if you make the mistakes listed below you will stand little chance of getting your ex back.

Read these carefully and apply them to your specific situation.

1) Do not make accusations
2) Do not harass your ex
3) Do not spy on your ex
4) Do not try to use sex as a ploy to get your ex back
5) Do not be pushy

Obviously many people want to discover who is to be blamed for the problems in the relationship.

If you decide that the relationship is one worth keeping then you need to take ownership of your share of the problems.

Accusing your partner of things will not help any situation.

Even if your partner made some mistakes and did some things that may have been wrong you have decided the relationship is worthwhile.

So you must now find ways to avoid similar problems in the future.

Work on that as a couple. Consider what changes the two of you can make to the relationship in order to improve it.

Although you may want nothing more than to call your ex constantly just to assure yourself that he or she is available or to hear their voice, your ex may be feeling that he or she needs some space from you.

This is usually a temporary phase so you should be patient and allow your partner the time he or she needs.

I am advocating the no harassment here, not that you should not make contact with your ex.

It goes without saying that your ex does not want to be spied on so simply do not do it!

And when you have an opportunity to be with your ex do not use sex as a weapon or tool to get him or her back. This often backfires.

The couple has sex and a make up still does not happen. A feeling of being used and even a sense of betrayal is then common.

The last tip is to avoid being pushy. When you finally have time to talk with your ex or even better, time to spend with your ex you need to take things slowly.

Work on building a solid foundation for the relationship before you jump back into a relationship that has nothing to hold it together.

Develop a strong friendship with your partner before building a dream for a future together
