Stress can be brought on through a number of factors. These can range anywhere from financial issues to family issues.
Everyone reacts differently to stress and this can result in many different symptoms.
High blood pressure is one way in which stress can be shown. This is particularly true in young adults and teenagers.
High blood pressure within this age range is a clear indication that there is something affecting these people. This is one common symptom of stress.
Stiff neck? Tight back? Well, this can also be a symptom of stress.
Stress often causes unusual muscle tension and although this is not one of the more severe symptoms of stress, it can seriously affect your mental state.
Another way in which stress can manifest itself is trouble sleeping.
Stress can frequently interrupt your regular sleeping pattern and although this seems to be a minor symptom, but your immune system will already be depleted from having to deal with the stressful situation and therefore sleep is vital for you giving yourself the time needed to boost your immune system.
Exhaustion is one of the most common symptoms of stress and if you are experiencing a stressful situation, you will be feeling exhausted at some point within the dilemma.
Exhaustion hits you the hardest when you are waking up.
This may seem surprising, but if you wake up after having your usual amount of sleep only to feel as though you have been wrestling alligators all night, you may well be suffering from exhaustion thanks to stress.
Problems with the digestive system are also a common symptom of stress.
Whether this be severe stomach cramps, irritable bowel syndrome or constipation any of these illnesses can be symptoms of stress.
Stress has been related to such illnesses such as diabetes and ulcers. These are symptoms of long term stress related situations.
A symptom of stress that everyone has heard of is the problems it can place on the body’s heart.
As well as increasing the chances of heart failure, there is also angina, heart palpitations and strokes.
All of these potentially deadly diseases are attributed to stress and especially long term stress.
The initial symptoms of stress however are much more subtle. It is when these initial signs flare up you will need to try to address the problems that are causing them.
Sweating profusely and raised heart rate will be amongst the initial symptoms that stress is taking its toll on your body.
Panic attacks and an increase in asthma attacks is also an early indicator that a body is suffering from stress.
If you have, or know someone who is suffering from any of these symptoms of stress, fear not.
There are now hundreds of different ways to handle and tackle stress and the symptoms that stress has upon the human body.
