Reading: What I Know For Sure by Oprah Winfrey

A gorgeous book by Oprah, sharing the things in life she is absolutely certain about.

"What I Know For Sure" is something she began to ponder after being asked at an interview "Tell me, what do you know for sure?"

This led to the magazine column covering this subject, and she draws on them to offer her best gems of wisdom to readers of this book.

On page 4 in the Chapter on Joy, she covers one of my favourites:

"What I know for sure is that every day brings a chance for you to draw in a breath, kick off your shoes, and step out and dance - to live free of regret and filled with as much joy, fun, and laughter as you can stand.

You can either waltz boldly onto the stage of life and live the way you know your spirit is nudging you to, or you can sit quietly by the wall, receding into the shadows of fear and self doubt"


It resonates with wisdom and love and her desire to share her love and lessons with us all.

In her chapter for Awe, on page 157 Oprah covers this treasure:

"I believe we make our paths far more difficult than they need to be. Our struggle with and resistance to what is entangles us in constant chaos and frustration - when its all so simple

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. And remember Newton's third law of motion: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The energy you create and release into the world will be reciprocated on all levels.

Our main job in life is to align with the energy that is the source of all energies, and to keep our frequency tuned to the energy of love. This I know for sure."

I treasure my copy of the book particularly because it was signed by Oprah and given to me when she toured Melbourne in December.
