Not All Halloween Costumes Have to Be Scary
Gypsy costumes are a great alternative!
Think Halloween and you automatically think of scary Halloween costumes, gruesome masks and any kind of food that looks as if it’s dripping blood.
That’s fair enough – after all it is supposed to be that time of year when ghosts and ghouls are supposed to come and haunt us.
It’s also the time of year when all the horror films are shown late at night on TV, so it’s not surprising these are the first things we think of.
But if you’re thinking of going to – or hosting – a Halloween party this year, you don’t have to go for a scary costume if you don’t want to.
In fact if you are shopping for costumes for the kids, it might be good to go in completely the opposite direction!
Older kids might enjoy scary costumes, but the younger ones will want something suitably in keeping with the time of year, while not scaring themselves in the process.
Imagine your toddler wearing a little Pumpkin Pie costume for example. Wouldn’t they look cute? Totally in the spirit of Halloween too!
You could also buy a cute little witch costume, a spider costume or even a little devil costume (although some moms would probably say their kids don’t need the costume!).
Even as an adult you don’t have to go down the scary route if you don’t want to. You can really get into the fun of Halloween and still get dressed up without opting for bloody or horror filled costumes.
For example an adult witch is just about the best thing you can be at Halloween, and the outfit itself isn’t really too scary at all.
Once you’re wearing the cape, the pointy hat and you’ve got your broomstick in your hand, you’ll be all set to go.
If you’re happy wearing a skeleton outfit you could go for something like that instead. These usually come with a mask to wear as well, but you don’t have to wear it the whole time if you don’t want to.
It all depends on how scary you want to be while you’re out trick or treating with the kids!
There are some great ghostly outfits you could wear instead if you wish: ones that are ideal for men or women.
So whether you want to be a ghostly guy or gal, you’ll always be able to find something in keeping with the time of year, even if they’re not filled with horror.
Whatever you decide to go for in the end, make sure you order your Halloween costumes in plenty of time. This is the best way to ensure you get exactly what you want.
It’ll also give you time to try on your chosen outfit and send it back for a different size if it doesn’t quite fit right.
Once you realize that Halloween doesn’t always have to be super scary, you’ll be able to look for one of the best Halloween costumes you can find.
