Lego Star Wars Characters
Lego Star Wars are a thematic series from Lego, which incorporates the entire saga of these wars. Released first in 1999, they include the very first Lego X-wing known as model 7140.
In the entire history of the Lego groups Star Wars was the first to be licensed and become it’s pioneer intellectual property.
The initial few sets released in 1999 were based fully on the original trilogy.
The release excitingly coincided with the Phantom Menace release.
Sets of Lego Star Wars characters which were tied to the prequel trilogy, followed soon with episode I of a total of three.
Lego released enthralling new ship models including sets from the scenes of the new episodes together with extra sets from the first trilogy.
Though originally licensed only from 1999 to 2008, the license with Lucasfilms was extended by the Lego group till the year 2011.
There is possibility that this will be extended even further.
The Lego Star Wars brand has given birth to three big time releases of video games the developing for which have been done by Travelers Tales.
Further models have been released by Lego to coincide with The Clone Wars in 2009.
