How To Prepare And Get Into The Christmas Spirit Early

by Carly Jones

Christmas is probably the last thing people want to hear about when it has only just turned spring.

However, some people like to prepare early and others have to celebrate early because it's the only time that their whole family can get together.

There are many people who won't be able to see their families at Christmas and they won't have seen them last Christmas either - soldiers, families who are spread across the world etc. - so it's essential for them to be able to get ready for Christmas and feel the Christmas spirit at other times of the year when the whole family can finally get together.

The truth is it's never too early to start preparing for Christmas anyway so everyone could do to take note of this.

Preparing early would take all of the stress and hassle out of the weeks that lead up to the big day meaning that Christmas would once again become the 'most wonderful time of the year'.

So, whether you're preparing early or having your Christmas in the middle of August it's time to start spreading the cost and really thinking about what you need.

Although it's fun to do all of your Christmas shopping in one go as you can see the mountain of gifts that you've bought when you get home, if you do your Christmas shopping during the festive period you're certainly not getting the most for your money.

If you shop throughout the year then you won't necessarily miss the odd £10 or £20 that you spend on presents in the sales, however do this at the end of the year and you certainly do miss the £100s that you end up losing.

If you do celebrate Christmas at Christmas then there are loads of saving schemes that you can join which will deliver - in time for Christmas - hampers of fresh, frozen or snack foods, alcohol, chocolate and biscuits, vouchers that you can use almost anywhere to buy presents with or a present that you have saved up for all year.

You pay into these schemes as little or as much as you want as often as you can so if you can spare £20 a month then you'll get £240 of vouchers delivered to your door come the end of the year.

If you're celebrating early then it's still essential for you to celebrate it as you would in December so that means decorating the house, sending cards - to the people that will be joining in with your early Christmas celebrations - putting up the Christmas tree, playing a few Christmas songs and of course, the obligatory Christmas jumper.

Guest writer Carly Jones couldn't spend Christmas with her husband last year because he was fighting in Afghanistan so she's waited and she's now getting ready to celebrate on April 1st when he finally returns.

In order to make it the best Christmas yet she bought Christmas cards from Meridian Press and sent them as invitations to members of her family and friends.

Megan just posted this to FaceBook when she saw this article, and I know how she feels, but....

It's not too early - I promise You

I know Easter has only just gone, but people need to think about budgets and savings, and Christmas clubs and all that boring stuff, if they celebrate big time and end up broke every New Year because of it!

I do Christmas shopping for friends gifts all through the year, just like I do for their Birthdays, and then just stash them away til its time to give them... do you do that too?

You are a life Saver!!

I recently discovered this site and I can tell you that my life has not been the same. I now come here EVERYDAY and spend at least 1 hour.

I used to spend that time browsing online fashion and beauty magazine which just means that I spend more. Now I have replaced that habit with coming here.

In future I will think about contributing articles as well. Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!! and God bless"
