How to Make Lips Look Fuller
There are some quick and easy make up tips to help you achieve the look you want. If you have a set of thin lips, but wish you could have the luscious lips of movie stars like Scarlett Johansson or Angelina Jolie, here's what you can do to help achieve this look.
Use a Lip Liner
You can create the perfect sized lips with a lip liner in the right shade. You would normally use your lip liner or pencil to draw the outline of your lips, which you would then fill in with a coordinating lipstick colour.
This time, in order to create larger lips, draw the outline of your lips a little higher than your natural lip line.
Do not go too high otherwise you will end up looking a little like a clown. Once you have drawn the outline, fill in with lip colour.
It might take a little while to work out how wide you can go but once you get it right, your lips will look naturally fuller.
Choose a Lighter Lip Colour
If you want to increase the appearance of your lips, it is advisable to choose a lighter lip colour than you might be used to.
Dark colours have a thinning and slimming effect, which is fantastic if we are talking about clothes.
But we are not talking about clothes in this instance. Lighter lip shades will give the illusion of a full pout.
The trick is to ensure that you do not go too light. The pale shades or frosty lipsticks will not do the job.
Choose a colour with a satin finish as this will reflect the light, adding contours which aids in the appearance of fuller lips.
Use a Highlighter
Now that you have increased the size of your lips with your lip liner and filled them in with a satin finish lipstick, you want to add a little highlighter around the mouth.
You can do this with a white highlighter pencil. The best place to add a little contouring is on the upper lip in the cupid bow area and under the bottom lip.
Try a Lip Plumping Lip Gloss
If you want to give your lips that bee-sting effect and you are not afraid of a little pain or irritation, you might want to dry a lip plumping product.
You can get this as a lip balm or a lip gloss. These products basically cause a slight irritation to the skin, which in turn makes the lips swell up.
The result is the appearance of larger, fuller lips.
Some people have an adverse reaction to these types of products, while others actually enjoy the slight tingling sensation. Give it a try for yourself to see if this type of product works for you.
