Who says that only boys get to have fun in a pirate’s world?
No one ever said that girls couldn’t take over a ship, sail the oceans blue and bring home glorious chests filled with pilfered treasures of their own.
With a girl’s pirate Halloween costume, any girl can look the part of an in command pirate and carry it off just as well as Jack Sparrow did.
Remember that attitude is everything and don’t be afraid to add a little swagger to your step.
And don’t be afraid to wear plenty of plunder! Whatever your costume, make sure it has plenty of gold.
Use thick gold necklaces around your neck, wide gold bracelets on your wrist and large, noticeable rings on your fingers.
For your clothing, choose a costume that has soft, flowing fabric (picture the shirts on the Pirates of the Caribbean movies) and for pants choose blacks or grays.
Make sure you top those muted colors, though, with plenty of bright red - the color of the pirate. Add a bandana or two for just the right touch to the outfit.
You can put a girl’s pirate Halloween costume together yourself or you can choose to buy one that’s ready made for you and this usually does save time and money.
You can choose a Pirate Lass costume, which is actually five pieces including the dress, the boot covers, bandana and broach.
Separately, you can get tights to go with the boot covers and of course, no self-respecting pirate would dare be caught unawares without a trusty sword by her side.
For younger girls, there’s the Precious Lil’ Pirate Costume, which is a dark dress and bright red headcloth.
Younger girls also like the High Seas Buccaneer Pirate costume that comes with the cool leather looking boot tops and hat in a soft brown color.
For a costume that has pants as the outfit, the Girls Pirate Costume has a brown crop top shirt topped with a bright red vest featuring a skull design.
The striped black and white pants have the jagged edges that are so popular in pirate costumes today.
You can go all out with a girl’s pirate Halloween costume and get the Disguise Costumes Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides costume.
This costume has a vest that’s attached with the shirt and a corset.
It has black pants, belt and boot covers but the sword prop doesn’t come with it so you’ll need to buy that separately.
For extra novelties, don’t forget the buccaneer pirate gun or the feathered pirate to wear perched on your shoulder.
