Edie asked me to have a look at this new book by her and as I'm heading this way with my Dad, I actually did want to learn as much as I could about how to help your parent stay independent living for as long as possible.
I've already begun dealing with the Council provided Carers from when he had surgery, and dealt with some of the issues covered in the book.
It is chock-a-block with sensible and caring tips and product advice for when independent living as well as when they may move into your home.
There have been a few problems I've been dreading having to deal with or am scratching my head about, and it has got me thinking anew about some aspects of caring so that I frankly feel more optimistic and hopeful about the role of becoming a carer now.
It is a good read. Mostly just crammed with strategies and tips, not much background discussion or filler, what I would call a real How To Book.
My opinion on this book?
If you are a newbie to caring for seniors and reaching the point of becoming more responsible for aging relatives, you definitely should check this out!

"You are a life Saver!!
I recently discovered this site and I can tell you that my life has not been the same. I now come here EVERYDAY and spend at least 1 hour.
I used to spend that time browsing online fashion and beauty
magazine which just means that I spend more. Now I have replaced that
habit with coming here.
In future I will think about contributing articles as well. Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!! and God bless"
