Choosing an Urn Planter

If you are about to choose what type of urn planter you want at your next event, there are a few things you should think about. If you’ve never heard of one before, you may have wondered why I’d be using an urn as a planter.

Don’t worry, I actually thought the same thing. But there is a difference between an urn and an urn planter. An urn is one of the more elegant and beautiful planters you will find. You can find them in weddings, proms and other special events.

If you are planning on using an urn in at a wedding, you may want to line them up and down the aisle and at the entrance of the church. This is something that looks like it came straight out of Greece with white and green flowers coming out of them. You can purchase your very own planter for the wedding and use it for many other events in your life, or you can rent one. There are several of different types of urn planters, some are made of plastic and others are made of fiberglass. You may even want to see if they have these in ceramic.

Get a flared neck urn planter - This basically looks like a very long vase. Very pretty and precious and would look lovely at a wedding with ferns and some colored flowers coming out of it. These come in many different shapes, some would only look right sitting on top of a table or at the base of the stairs. Picture the bride walking down and stopping to get her picture taken with lovely flowers surrounding her.

An urn planter with some small green foliage in it would look nice at the entrance at your home. Little shrubs can be placed in bigger ones and placed around your yard for decoration. These planters aren’t always used for flowers, sometimes you can use these to hold candy at Halloween or tickets at a party. Try making an urn planter into a small bird bath, you can even add a few smaller water plants that can hang on the sides of it. This will be a perfect place for birds to drink and it’ll still show off your yard.

There is a much smaller urn planter that is perfect to place one your desk. These urns would look adorable with a set of African violets or tiny Pansies peeking out at you. Plant a single Iris or tulip in a small urn and watch how lovely it becomes. A bigger urn could set the scene for your tree or bush.

An urn planter can be used both indoors and outdoors, such as weddings, homes, a church or even a hospital. There are many reasons a person wants one, but most want them because they draw in the beauty of what you are trying to create. Now that you know what is out there, go out and find the perfect urn for your party.
